Quoting software for fabrication shops

From RFQ package to priced draft quote.

Alloyrise reads the prints, line list and buyer email, pulls every spec with its source, flags what's missing and prices each line from your own rates. Your estimator reviews and approves.

The problem

Every quote starts with an hour of reading.

Before anyone can price a part, someone opens each print, reads the BOM, checks the notes against the buyer's email and builds the cost line by line. On a multi-line fabrication package that is where the day goes, and the costly misses hide in the notes.

How it works

Seven steps from the buyer's email to an approved quote.

Alloyrise does the first six. The last one stays with your estimator. Every screen below is the prototype on a fictional RFQ.

RFQ received: RFQ 24117 in the queue: three drawings, due date, status and open questions.
Documents read: The buyer's email, the attachments and drawing WF-500 side by side.
Specs extracted: Each value marked from drawing, from email, computed, conflicting or missing.
Gaps flagged: Four open questions on this RFQ and the draft email to the buyer.
Past jobs reviewed: The three closest past jobs for WF-500, won and lost.
Cost built up: Material, operations and outside processes for WF-500, with markup and margin.
Estimator approves: The estimator sets 295.00 on WF-500 and approves. Nothing is sent by Alloyrise.

What comes back

A draft quote your estimator can check in minutes.

For every RFQ: a quote PDF, an editable quote sheet, an import file for your ERP and the questions for the buyer. All marked draft until a person approves.

Buyer questions draft email
Hi Dana,

Thanks for the RFQ. We're working on it and will have pricing to you before Nov 12. A few things we need to confirm:

- MB-2201: Drawing finish says SEE PO; email says zinc clear. Confirm spec (e.g. ASTM B633 type and thickness).
- GP-310: No revision letter on drawing. Confirm current revision.
- GP-310: Hole spacing not dimensioned ('equally spaced as shown'). Request hole locations or a DXF.
- WF-500: Foot-to-tube weld size is blank in Detail A. Request weld size.

We'll quote with our assumptions noted if we don't hear back.
Not sent. Your estimator edits it and sends it from your own email.

Real outputs of the prototype run on the demonstration RFQ. Shop, customer, rates and prices are fictional.

Designed for manufacturing

Built around how job shops quote.

For multi-process shops that quote from customer prints: laser, punch, brake, weld, machine, finish, assemble.

Shops

  • Sheet metal and fabrication
  • Weldments and structural frames
  • Laser, punch and press brake work
  • CNC machining with outside processes
  • 30 to 300 people, 40 or more RFQs a month

What it reads

  • PDF prints title block, views, notes
  • BOMs and line lists XLSX, CSV
  • Buyer emails quantities, due dates, terms
  • DXF and STEP kept as reference
  • Your rate sheet rates, markup, capabilities

Where it fits

  • Beside JobBOSS2, E2, Global Shop or Excel
  • Exports an import-ready CSV
  • No ERP replacement, nothing new to learn on the floor
  • Not for ITAR or export-controlled work

Trust and control

Your estimator approves every number.

Every quote moves through clear states. Only a person can approve one, and Alloyrise never sends anything to your customer.
